Job summary

Gotion Inc. is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to own the battery-pack mechanical design from concept through production launch.

You will create enclosure concepts, 3D CAD layouts, and production drawings for modules, covers, and cooling hardware while coordinating with electrical, thermal, and manufacturing teams. The role requires hands-on CAD expertise, DFMEA leadership, and the ability to mentor others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in automotive or battery hardware.
• Experience taking battery-pack hardware through full development cycle.
• Hands-on CAD experience with complex 3D assemblies and production drawings.
• Ability to lead DFMEA and design reviews and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design battery-pack mechanical architecture and enclosure concepts.
• Develop pack-level CAD layouts and production drawings.
• Lead design tradeoffs among safety, cost, and manufacturability.
• Perform packaging studies, tolerances, GD&T, and releases.
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, CAE, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews.
