Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong ability to translate vehicle/OEM requirements into battery-system requirements and targets.
• Experience integrating multiple engineering disciplines for system-level decisions.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, data-analysis, and verification across HV battery systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as system-level technical lead for high-voltage battery development and integration.
• Translate vehicle requirements into battery-system requirements across cell, mechanical, electrical, thermal, BMS interfaces.
• Own requirement decomposition, traceability, and change impact at system level.
• Define battery performance targets: energy, power, voltage, current, charging, temperature, aging, safety limits.
• Lead cross-functional architecture studies across performance, safety, durability, packaging, cost, and manufacturability.
• Integrate inputs from Cell, Mechanical, Electrical, Thermal, CAE, Validation, Manufacturing, and customer teams.
• Lead interface with BMS and controls teams for operating limits and sensing.
• Lead system DFMEA, risk reviews, and design reviews.
• Define system verification methods and support DVPR and validation planning.
• Analyze cell, pack, BMS, simulation, and test data to identify limitations and root causes.
• Drive cross-functional issue resolution and corrective actions to closure.
• Ensure alignment between customer specs, Gotion requirements, releases, and production configurations.
• Support vehicle launch, production ramp-up, and field issue resolution.
• Help establish battery systems engineering practices and mentor engineers across programs.
