Tempo Innovations in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Staff Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end development of mechanical and thermal systems from concept to testing. You will tackle high-temperature challenges with complex power electronic interfaces, mentor junior engineers, and drive hardware programs to completion in a fast-paced startup.

You will design and analyze using SolidWorks, apply GD&T, perform FEA (FEA via COMSOL) and thermal analyses, and lead fabrication of weldments.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 5+ years of design or hands-on manufacturing experience.
• Startup or highly dynamic engineering environment experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design, analysis, and manufacturing of complex mechanical and thermal hardware.
• Architect and design systems from the ground up using SolidWorks and apply GD&T.
• Conduct advanced structural (FEA) and thermal (COMSOL) analyses for high-temperature environments (up to 1500°C).
• Design and oversee weldments (steel/aluminum) and their fabrication and quality.
• Architect and implement data acquisition (DAQ) and instrumentation to validate prototype performance.
• Drive projects to completion with hands-on fabrication and DFM/ DFA leadership.
• Own project life cycles in a startup to deliver hardware on tight timelines.
