Job summary

Therm-x of California seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer – Thermal Systems to own heater assemblies from concept to production, defining requirements with customers and leading design reviews.

You will perform hand calculations and FEA, select materials, and guide prototype builds with machinists and suppliers. Onsite Hayward role with international travel to Mexico, utilizing AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design engineering owning concepts through release.
• Hardware operating at elevated temperature (heaters/furnaces/thermal hardware).
• Strong heat transfer and thermal–mechanical behavior understanding.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical and thermal design of new heater and thermal assemblies.
• Release 3D models and GD&T drawings (pre-braze/pre-weld).
• Lead projects with schedules, cost, and risk; guide prototypes through testing.
