Job summary

Starkey Hearing in Eden Prairie, MN, seeks a Sr Mechanical Engineer to design hearing aids, components, and accessories from concept through prototype. You will work with a cross‑functional team to translate creative mechanical solutions into manufacturable products that improve lives.

Responsibilities include developing concept designs, documenting design benefits, leading prototype builds, performing DFMEA and DVT, and collaborating with suppliers to bring concepts to product development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years mechanical design experience for Sr Mechanical Engineer I.
• 12+ years mechanical design experience for Sr Mechanical Engineer II.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative concept designs for standard and custom hearing aid products.
• Document design benefits, market acceptance, and ROI.
• Lead prototype build and create CAD models/drawings communicating design intent.
• Conduct DFMEA and DVT and facilitate design reviews.
