Job summary

Starkey, based in Eden Prairie, MN, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead development and integration of innovative capabilities across hearing aids, software, mobile apps, and AI-enabled solutions. You will drive architecture from concept to commercialization, collaborating with engineering, research, and external partners to shape next-generation products.

You will guide cross-functional teams, document requirements, manage risks, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives, while

Qualifications

• B.S +10 years in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields; or
• M.S + 8 years; or
• PhD + 5 years

Responsibilities

• Lead, own, drive, and deliver new initiatives for current and future products
• Create product/feature architecture and design considering system, UX, and business aspects
• Create system and subsystem design documents (e.g. operational concepts, use cases, interfaces)
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to execute design, build, and testing of proofs of concept
• Document risks, motivations and tradeoffs of technical decisions
• Ensure alignment among products, technologies, roadmaps, and corporate objectives
• Interact with cross functional groups to reflect capabilities in documentation
• Promote architectures with improved performance, lower footprint, and better software structure
• Mentor and guide engineers and technicians
• Submit patent disclosures and support ideation efforts
