Starkey is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance hearing aids and related devices. You will guide cross-functional teams to meet performance, quality, manufacturability, and cost targets, while mentoring others and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 7 years’ experience.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years’ experience.
• PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years' experience.
• Product development and medical device familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of new products meeting performance, quality, manufacturability and cost targets.
• Develop system and component requirements and document targets from data and user needs.
• Design standard and custom hearing aids and related devices.
• Integrate new technologies and ensure designs are manufacturable.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Develop DFMEA and ensure design verification/testing is completed.
• Mentor engineers and provide direction to junior staff.
