Job summary

Realta Fusion Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of fusion technologies critical to their pilot platform.

You will work with engineering teams to provide technical leadership, create detailed drawings, and drive complex projects from conception through deployment. The role emphasizes ultra-high vacuum design, CAD modeling, and rigorous analysis, with mentoring responsibilities and collaboration across researchers, machinists, and technicians.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Nuclear Engineering with 5-8 years of experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and PDM.
• Strong understanding of mechanism design, structural/thermal analysis; use of FEA tools like ANSYS or COMSOL.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and drawings for beamline and fusion device elements in ultra-high vacuum.
• Manage full engineering lifecycle from conception to deployment.
• Translate concepts into detailed drawings and perform design analysis; develop solutions.
