Realta Fusion in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development roadmap for the Hammir-DD reactor-scale platform. You will build 3D models and drawings for ultra-high vacuum devices, support structures, and critical components, while refining mechanical subsystems for fusion technology.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with 3D CAD design using current CAD tools (SolidWorks, NX, Creo, etc.).
• Some hands-on experience with machine shop practices and fabrication techniques.

Responsabilités

• Develop 3D models and technical drawings for beamline and fusion device elements and support structures.
• Contribute to design and development of mechanical fusion components and subsystems.
• Participate in mechanical system design, stress, thermal, and fatigue analyses.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal resources to fabricate, assemble, test, and validate components.
• Provide hands-on fabrication and assembly support for prototype and lab systems.
• Communicate technical work internally and with leadership to support program needs.
• Help establish and implement safety standards within R&D and Engineering.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture aligned with mission and sustainability goals.
