Job summary

Realta Fusion is a rapidly growing start-up developing compact magnetic mirror fusion energy systems. The Associate Mechanical Engineer will work with Realta’s engineering and scientific teams to provide critical input on the technology development roadmap and support the Hammir-DD reactor-scale platform ahead of the pilot plant.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Experience with 3D CAD design using SolidWorks, NX, Creo, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with machine shop practices and mechanical assembly.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models and technical drawings for beamline and fusion device elements.
• Support design of primary and secondary mechanical fusion components and subsystems.
• Perform mechanical stress, thermal, and fatigue analyses as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal resources to fabricate, assemble, test, and validate components.
• Provide hands-on fabrication and assembly support for prototypes and lab systems.
