Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on multiple projects, focusing on facility design for United States federal agencies. You will guide design teams, act as Engineer of Record, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients on HVAC systems and sustainable solutions.

The role requires leading design efforts, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring IFC packages meet federal requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 8–10+ years in consulting engineering and facility design.
• Professional Engineer license in the United States (multi-state licenses preferred).
• Experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready packages.
• Apply industry standards (ASHRAE, UFC, UFGS) and building codes.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; pursue clients.
