Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on Federal Projects. You will drive design and coordination across architects, engineers and clients, serving as Engineer of Record on multiple concurrent projects including HVAC systems and sustainable solutions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years of consulting experience, US citizenship, and a PE license. Travel to project sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required for federal employment.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15 years of consulting engineering experience.
• PE licensure in the United States; multiple state licenses preferred.
• Experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilities.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to build relationships.
• Willingness to travel for site surveys and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor staff to deliver construction-ready design packages.
• Ensure compliance with UFC, UFGS, ASHRAE standards and codes.
• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Model and design HVAC systems; lead as Engineer of Record.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and clients.
• Travel to project sites for site surveys and data collection.
