Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on multiple federal facility projects in the United States. You will oversee design through pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases, serving as Engineer of Record.

You will work with architects, engineers and project managers to design HVAC systems that meet ASHRAE standards and client requirements, while supporting bids and site surveys.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for federal employment.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 10–15+ years in consulting engineering and facility design.
• Professional Engineering licensure in the United States; multiple state licenses preferred.
• Experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor staff to deliver construction-ready drawings and specs.
• Apply ASHRAE, UFC, and UFGS standards across federal projects.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; pursue client opportunities.
• Use Rev it, BIM, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, and SpecsIntact for design modeling.
• Travel to project sites for surveys, data collection, and client collaboration.
