Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical discipline on multiple federal facility projects, delivering HVAC and sustainable solutions. You will guide design teams, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure construction-ready packages meet federal standards.

Required are US citizenship and a professional engineer license; 8–10 years in consulting engineering is ideal. Strong communication and relationship building with clients and internal teams are essential.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required for federal employment eligibility.
Experience with Federal Projects.
Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States (multiple state licenses preferred).
Experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.
Strong communication and relationship-building with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages with inter-discipline coordination.
Knowledge of ASHRAE, UFC, UFGS and building codes.
Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and staffing plans; pursue project opportunities.
Proficient in Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, Trane Trace, SpecsIntact.
Travel to project sites for site surveys and data collection for power and electrical studies.
