Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for our College Station facility. You will lead multi-discipline teams through design, procurement and construction of complex mechanical and piping systems, driving projects from concept to activation on a world-class campus.

You will apply CFD/thermodynamics, manage contracts, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver reliable, safe infrastructure on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience on large commercial/industrial projects.
• Experience with mechanical/process piping/HVAC system design and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team of engineers, consultants and contractors through EPC processes.
• Manage design, documentation and reporting for large facility projects.
• Write and manage contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines.
• Lead HVAC system design for office, warehouse, and industrial spaces.
• Prepare piping system plans, specs and bid documents.
