Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the Texas Construction Projects team in McGregor, TX. You will lead multi-disciplinary engineer teams through design, procurement, and construction of aerospace facilities, including HVAC and piping systems.

You will develop drawings, specifications, and reports, negotiate contracts, and support cost forecasting and budgeting. The role requires hands-on field coordination, risk management, and the ability to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or other engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience with the design and build of aerospace, large commercial, or industrial-type projects.
• Experience with mechanical/process piping/HVAC system design and/or project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead a project team of engineers, consultants, and contractors through engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Manage design, development, and issuance of drawings and reports for facilities projects.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across disciplines.
