Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own the end-to-end design, prototyping, and production support of electronic enclosures, including consumer-style devices, rack-mounted server chassis, and rugged outdoor enclosures.

You will combine strong SolidWorks proficiency with hands-on experience in sheet metal, machined parts, plastics, extrusions, and seals, delivering production-ready designs with minimal supervision and guiding junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related discipline.
• Typically four or more years of relevant mechanical product-design experience or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or comparable standard.
• Understanding of product-development processes from requirements through production.
• Advanced SolidWorks proficiency including large assemblies, sheet-metal design, configurations, and detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design enclosures, assemblies, and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
• Develop enclosure concepts for consumer-electronics, rack-mounted server chassis, and rugged outdoor enclosures.
• Create detailed 3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing drawings.
