Job summary

Broadcom seeks a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead mechanical design of high-performance enclosures for ultra-high-powered products in San Jose, CA. You will own the cradle-to-grave design lifecycle, including BOMs, vendor interactions, and sustaining engineering, in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

You will guide a small design team, ensure DFx, and work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Compliance to meet safety and environmental standards across US, EU, and Asia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years of experience.
• Experience designing high-powered production enclosures.
• Ability to drive cross-functional hardware teams.
• Familiarity with US/EU/Asia regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of enclosures from concept to volume production.
• Provide technical leadership to a design team.
• Own BOM creation and supplier interactions.
• Support trials, field issues, and product sustaining.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (Hardware, ASIC, Thermal, Packaging, Manufacturing).
