Find Great People is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create custom mechanical systems and industrial enclosures using SolidWorks. You will collaborate across engineering, production, purchasing, and project management to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.

The ideal candidate thrives on hands-on design, fabrication drawing creation, and field visits to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in mechanical design or product development in manufacturing.
• Proficient with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to create manufacturing and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design custom mechanical systems, enclosures, and modular structures using SolidWorks.
• Serve as a key technical contributor throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop 3D models, fabrication and installation drawings, and docs.
• Collaborate with project managers, production, purchasing, and manufacturing.
• Specify mechanical components and system requirements.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support project docs.
• Participate in field measurements, site visits, and technical reviews.
• Support fabrication and installation with technical guidance.
• Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.
• Contribute to product improvements and engineering best practices.
