Job summary

RTX's Airborne Sensor RF Design Department in McKinney, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and document electro-mechanical assemblies on-site, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires a Mechanical or Aerospace ABET-accredited degree with 5+ years (or advanced degree with 3+) and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required; 5+ years experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience supporting production of electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with PTC CREO Parametric or other mechanical CAD tools.
• Experience working with internal and/or external suppliers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures with leadership to meet production goals.
• Work with a multi-disciplined team across aerostructure, housing, electronics, and thermal management.
• Coordinate with IPTL, PM, Supply Chain and external personnel.
• Support travel to external suppliers and Raytheon facilities.
• Apply GD&T principles to design documentation and fabrication.
• Travel to suppliers typically not exceeding 20%.
