Job summary

RTX seeks Electrical Engineers for McKinney/Plano, TX to support a critical production program in the Airborne RF Electronics Design Department. You will work with an integrated team to resolve issues during production, testing, and integration while collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program functions.

The role requires a Master’s degree in STEM, hardware troubleshooting experience, and familiarity with measurement tools; DoD Top Secret clearance is required for day-one

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and implementing solutions
• Experience with using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assess production test design coverage across special test equipment (STE) to assembly, test, and verification processes.
• Troubleshoot hardware and/or test sets down to component level to include analog/digital/radio and microwave frequency circuitry and interfaces and software.
• Analyze test data, verify compliance with specifications, and drive resolution of production test set issues.
• Evaluate hardware performance, categorize failures, and disposition units systematically and on schedule.
• Work in a compact range environment or lab environment.
• Interpret, generate, update, release and apply engineering documentation such as test set drawings, assembly drawings, schematics, wire lists, and parts lists.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities while delivering clear status updates to program leadership.
• Maintain operability of special test equipment and support production and suppliers through periodic travel up to 25%.
