Job summary

magniX is seeking a Senior Battery Mechanical Engineer in Everett, WA to lead mechanical design of lithium-ion battery packs for electric and hybrid-electric aerospace applications. You will integrate with magniX engineers and suppliers, developing modules, enclosures, and interfaces for aircraft installation.

You will ensure designs meet aerospace structural, thermal, vibration, and safety requirements, driving CAD work and testing plans while guiding certification and production-readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 7+ years of EV battery pack design experience.
• Experience with 400V+ and 50kWh+ packs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of lithium-ion battery packs for aerospace applications.
• Create and review CAD models for modules, enclosures, and mounting interfaces.
• Ensure designs meet aerospace structure, thermal, vibration, and safety requirements.
• Define pack requirements from system level to components with safety and certification in mind.
• Provide oversight to partners and suppliers for detailed pack design and manufacturing development.
