The ideal candidate has a strong background in heat transfer, structural mechanics, and manufacturing-driven design, applying DFMA and leading edge prototyping techniques for prototypes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as PTC Creo or SolidWorks; Creo 8 or later preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, structural mechanics, and heat transfer.
• Experience with FEA tools for thermal and structural simulations.
• Experience designing mechanical components for manufacturing processes such as injection molding, die casting, sheet metal, and CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Design ruggedized IP-rated enclosures, seals, and gaskets to IP54+ standards.
• Create plastic components for molding and metal/sheet parts for stamping and fabrication.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings for PCBs, EMI shields, housings, and assemblies.
• Perform static and dynamic calculations to evaluate structural integrity.
• Develop lightweight mechanical structures for drone applications, including magnesium components.
