Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a mechanical engineer to own the full lifecycle of physical hardware, from concept through manufacture, across enclosure, packaging, and drone integration products.

You will design ruggedized enclosures and drone attachments, with rapid prototyping via in-house 3D printing, and travel for field testing. Our client emphasizes swift iteration, field demonstrations, and modular systems with integrated logistics and charging capabilities for ground stations and drone

Qualifications

• Experience owning the full lifecycle of physical hardware from concept to manufacturing.
• Design and test ruggedized enclosures and drone attachments.
• Ability to prototype rapidly and iterate using in-house 3D printing.
• Willingness to travel for field testing and demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee manufacture of Dongle Cases, Bridge Boxes, and other ruggedized enclosures.
• Specify, source, and customize swarm packaging solutions including Pelican cases and foam inserts.
• Design, test, and manufacture drone attachments and physical modifications, from brackets to actuated mechanisms.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on mechanism design, prototyping, and field validation.
