Job summary

Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead high-level design and QA/QC for large-scale commercial, healthcare, and education projects. You will advise on complex solutions, supervise junior staff, and help shape engineering standards to meet client needs.

You will apply advanced engineering concepts, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure quality outcomes across diverse projects with significant scope and impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Must be a registered Professional Engineer with at least eight years of progressive engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a comprehensive understanding of International Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level project design and review of project documents, ensuring design quality for complex projects across various sectors including commercial developments, healthcare facilities, and more.
• Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
• Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure the delivery of designs that meet quality standards and project objectives.
• Conduct research and advise on technical solutions in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
• Direct and advise staff on design approaches to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
• Promote efficiencies and high-quality output within the team, contributing to the development of standards and guidelines for engineering activities.
• Supervise and review the technical assignments of less experienced engineers, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
