Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team seeks a Mechanical Design Technical Manager to lead technical approaches for high-impact projects across commercial, healthcare, labs, and data centers. You will guide design teams, develop budgets, and ensure successful execution of project phases with a focus on quality and efficiency.

The role emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional coordination, and delivering robust design solutions in complex environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Drafting and Design preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry.
• Proficiency in CAD/BIM software, specifically Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical staff and project managers to prepare project schedules, scopes, and objectives.
• Develop cost estimates and project budgets; manage resources to meet goals.
• Provide high-level technical guidance to resolve design issues and ensure progress.
• Monitor timelines, resource utilization, and expenses to complete projects.
• Engage in client meetings to review performance and maintain relationships.
• Drive efficiencies and quality improvements in technical processes and deliverables.
• Mentor less experienced staff and foster learning.
