Job summary

Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team is at the forefront of engineering innovation, delivering high-quality designs for commercial developments, healthcare facilities, labs, data centers, and more. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide high-level technical support, act as an advisor on complex projects, and lead QA/QC activities.

You will supervise and guide less experienced engineers, promote standards, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Must be a registered Professional Engineer with at least eight years of progressive engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a comprehensive understanding of International Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level project design and review of project documents, ensuring design quality for complex projects across various sectors including commercial developments, healthcare facilities, and more.
• Serve as a technical specialist, applying advanced engineering concepts and developing innovative approaches to solve complex challenges.
• Perform rigorous QA/QC to ensure the delivery of designs that meet quality standards and project objectives.
• Conduct research and advise on technical solutions in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
• Direct and advise staff on design approaches to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
• Promote efficiencies and high-quality output within the team, contributing to the development of standards and guidelines for engineering activities.
• Supervise and review the technical assignments of less experienced engineers, fostering an environment of learning and professional growth.
