Job summary

Olsson's Facilities Engineering and Design Team in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide high-level design support and lead QA/QC on complex projects across commercial, healthcare, and data centers.

You will advise on advanced engineering concepts, supervise junior staff, and help develop standards while ensuring compliance with International Building Codes. A PE license and 8+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Must be a registered Professional Engineer with at least eight years of progressive engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a comprehensive understanding of International Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level design reviews for complex projects across sectors.
• Serve as a technical specialist and develop innovative design approaches.
• Perform rigorous QA/QC to meet quality standards and project objectives.
• Research and advise on technically complex solutions.
• Guide staff on design methods to meet project requirements.
• Promote efficiencies and contribute to engineering standards.
• Supervise junior engineers and foster growth.
