Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a growing manufacturing company in Flemington, NJ. The role covers design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of mechanical components and systems, from concept through prototyping to production.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing and Operations to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs, while applying Lean/Six Sigma methods to improve processes and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety, reliability, and throughput.
• Developing project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Creating, reviewing, and modifying mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Performing full lifecycle product development from concept through prototyping and production.
• Testing and evaluating designs to ensure manufacturability and performance.
• Working with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Operations.
• Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems.
