Jobot in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership for design, development, and continuous improvement of mechanical components, products, and manufacturing processes.

The role involves hands-on projects from concept through prototyping, production, and optimization, collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Operations to deliver cost‑effective, manufacturable designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, especially in manufacturing.
• Proficient in 2D/3D design and manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of high voltage systems.
• Excellent documentation and control skills.
• Lean/Six Sigma methodologies experience.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and creative approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cost‑effective equipment modifications to improve safety, reliability, and throughput.
• Develop project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
• Create, review, and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Perform full lifecycle product development from design through prototyping, manufacture, and implementation.
• Design systems and components to meet needs and requirements.
• Conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
• Test and evaluate theoretical designs and processes.
• Ensure products can be manufactured reliably and perform in operating environments.
• Apply mathematical modeling and CAD to support engineering work.
• Consider cost, safety, and time constraints in decisions.
• Collaborate with professionals inside and outside engineering; monitor and commission plant and systems.
