Job summary

Meade, a full-service engineering firm, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer license to lead mechanical design for data centers, industrial, and high-profile projects. Travel to sites and coordination with clients, vendors, and contractors are expected.

Responsibilities include driving projects end-to-end, designing mechanical/plumbing systems, and mentoring junior staff. 7+ years of experience and strong energy code knowledge required for a leadership role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience for data centers or mission critical projects.
• Valid Mechanical P.E. license and Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or Engineering in Training).
• Experience working independently, prioritizing, and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
• Strategic thinker with flexibility to achieve long-range objectives.
• Self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, team-oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication; highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects forward through design and construction phases.
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers.
• Oversee production of mechanical designs, systems, and drawings.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, owners, and contractors.
• Coordinate with vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
• Select major equipment and develop scheduling.
