Job summary

Meade, a full-service design firm, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer III to join our design team for data centers, industrial buildings, and high-profile projects. You will independently drive projects from design through construction, oversee mechanical designs and drawings, and collaborate with owners, vendors, and other disciplines.

Travel for site visits may be required. Minimum qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 4+ years of relevant design experience, and a P.E.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience designing mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid Mechanical P.E. license preferred.
• Experience working independently, managing priorities and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes.
• Ability to think strategically and adapt to long-range objectives.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases.
• Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers.
• Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings.
• Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers.
• Major equipment selection and scheduling.
