Eaton seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design of critical power infrastructure in Raleigh, NC. The role blends in-office and remote work within a 50‑mile radius, with relocation support within the United States.

You will own design decisions and mentor teams across global functions to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective UPS and energy storage solutions. You will drive multi-domain design reviews, prototype testing, and regulatory certification activities, including UL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in mechanical design or
• Master's with 7+ years in mechanical design or
• PhD with 5+ years in mechanical design.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, development, and launch of critical power infrastructure products.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to develop next-generation UPS and energy storage solutions.
• Develop mechanical systems such as frames, enclosures, bus bars, and wiring harnesses using 3D CAD and tests.
• Own the mechanical design decisions based on analysis, testing, DFx, and cost targets.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews and mentoring across structural, thermal, and electrical domains.
• Support prototype builds, verification/validation, deployments, and regulatory certification including UL.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions; improve engineering processes and test methodologies.
