Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical division seeks a Senior Systems Engineer in Raleigh, NC for a hybrid role (3 days in office, 2 days remote). The engineer will provide sustaining engineering support for released power conversion products, analyze complex issues, document engineering changes, and guide cross‑functional teams in manufacturing, supply chain, and service to maintain performance and availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with ≥3 years of experience supporting electrical or electromechanical products or Master’s degree with ≥2 years experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide sustaining engineering support for released electrical and electromechanical power conversion products and accessories.
• Independently analyze complex technical issues related to performance, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability and quality.
• Evaluate, document, and support engineering changes for released products.
• Review and maintain advanced engineering documentation including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Support component obsolescence management and technical evaluation of replacements.
• Perform testing to confirm performance meets specifications.
• Support Value Analysis/Value Engineering activities and design-for-manufacture improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and service.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective action for complex issues.
• Document analyses and recommendations in internal systems.
