Job summary

ATI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for complex multimillion dollar construction projects at Redstone Arsenal, Madison County, Alabama.

You will review contractor submittals, respond to questions, observe field work, and coordinate mechanical issues to ensure contract requirements are met. The role requires 10+ years in mechanical engineering on large-scale projects, familiarity with relevant codes, and the ability to obtain government clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer on complex multimillion dollar construction projects.
• PE license preferred.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC, IPC, IBC codes and standards.
• Experience with USACE QC/Inspection process (EM 385-1-1) and RMS preferred.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain government clearance.
• Willingness to conduct frequent field inspections.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor submittals and questions.
• Identify construction deficiencies and coordinate issues.
• Prepare written recommendations and change orders.
• Inspect contractor plant, materials, and equipment daily.
• Document punch lists and QC reports with clear records.
