Job summary

ATI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Facilities) to join our team in Cudahy, WI. This role blends engineering design with project leadership, supporting complex equipment, buildings, and facilities from concept through startup.

You will manage medium to large capital projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure performance, reliability, and safety. A BS in engineering and 5+ years in mechanical design or project management are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or science; state registration accepted.
• 5+ years in mechanical design, maintenance engineering, or project management.
• Experience with CapEx projects.
• Experience with FEA or stress analysis.
• Pneumatic or hydraulic experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs and layouts using stress analysis, mechanics, kinematics, and machine design.
• Create assembly/detail drawings; prepare BOMs, specs, and procedures.
• Evaluate machinery, tools, processes, and facilities; identify redesign or repair needs.
• Lead medium to large engineering and capital projects from design to startup.
• Coordinate technical activities across projects and teams.
• Provide technical direction to technicians and engineers.
