Job summary

WSP USA in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Property and Buildings Team. You will provide technical assistance for due diligence, design, development, building, testing, and inspection of mechanical systems on infrastructure and construction projects in public and private sectors.

You will work on data analysis, load calculations, and reporting to ensure designs meet safety and performance standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams on project deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering discipline and prior mechanical design experience.
• Engineer in Training Certification and licensure preferences.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze data from site surveys, blueprints, and reports for project development.
• Perform mechanical engineering tasks, inspections, and assessments of site conditions and equipment.
• Incorporate modeling techniques, load calculations, and design requirements for proper installation and operation of systems.
• Verify site characteristics and provide technical assistance on automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, drawings, and presentations to communicate findings.
• Maintain quality control standards for measurements, calculations, and reporting.
• Assist in scoping and developing small- to medium-sized projects.
