Job summary

WSP USA seeks an Assistant Vice President, Structural Engineer in Atlanta, GA to lead complex building structure projects from concept to construction. You will mentor staff, foster client relationships, and drive growth while delivering high-quality, constructible solutions.

You will apply advanced structural analysis, BIM-enabled coordination, and digital workflows to multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring code compliance and design excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in structural engineering for complex projects.
• Professional Engineer license required; SE licensure and multi-state registration preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and grow client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of codes, analysis methods, and structural systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering of buildings from concept through construction.
• Mentor staff, plan workload, and foster a high-performance culture.
• Grow local market share by building client relationships and pursuing opportunities.
• Collaborate with architects, owners, developers, and contractors on complex projects.
• Apply advanced analysis, BIM workflows, and digital delivery to deliver constructible solutions.
• Review designs, drawings, and specifications for code compliance and quality.
• Provide technical leadership for multidisciplinary teams and manage risk/QA/QC.
• Stay current with codes, technologies, and design innovations.
