Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior mechanical engineer for the Maneuver Dominance team. You will rapidly design, prototype, and validate test fixtures and surrogate aircraft systems, working to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components for high-performance aerial platforms.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of professional engineering experience, CAD mastery (NX preferred), MATLAB/SIMULINK experience, and hands-on prototyping skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional technical engineering experience
• Proven CAD skills and ability to produce engineering drawings
• Strong fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, mechanisms
• MATLAB/SIMULINK/SIMSCAPE experience
• Manufacturing knowledge including machine shops
• Rapid prototyping background and 3D printing knowledge
• Proficient in hands-on prototyping (machining, welding, soldering)
• BS or MS in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Willingness to travel 25% and potential surges
• Eligible for US Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Rapid design, fabrication and build of test fixtures for ground test validation
• Prototype and assist with fabrication/assembly of test systems
• Lead efforts to define requirements and evaluate mechanical systems
• Coordinate with electrical, software and mechanical teams for integrated systems
• Lead design reviews, perform analysis, visit vendors and test plans
• Enhance team tools, templates, processes and standards
• Support hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
• Travel to test sites and vendors as needed
