Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to join the Maneuver Dominance team. You will rapidly design and build test fixtures for ground validation, prototype hardware, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to define requirements and evaluate solutions.

Travel to test sites and suppliers is expected, with a focus on integrated mechanical-electrical software systems. The role requires 7+ years in engineering, strong CAD (NX preferred), and hands-on fabrication skills,

Qualifications

• Experience leading immersive technical projects (college or industry).
• 7+ years in a professional technical engineering role (non-internship).
• Proven CAD skills (NX preferred) and ability to produce high-quality drawings following standards.
• Strong fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, mechanisms.
• MATLAB/SIMULINK/SIMSCAPE experience.
• Manufacturing knowledge and experience with machine shops (sheet metal, CNC, etc.).
• Rapid prototyping background (structures/electronics/software) and 3D printing knowledge.
• Hands-on prototyping with machining, shop tools, welding, soldering.

Responsibilities

• Rapid design, fabrication and build of test fixtures or surrogate aircraft systems for ground test validation.
• Prototype and assist with fabrication/assembly of test systems.
• Coordinate with purchasing, vendors, assembly techs to finalize prototyping projects.
• Lead requirements definition, propose solutions and establish evaluation methodologies for mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and mechanical teams to ensure integrated, reliable systems.
• Lead design reviews, conduct analyses, visit vendors, prototype and implement hardware test plans.
• Contribute to tools, templates, processes and standards improvement.
• Foster a positive, high-energy team environment and support hardware demonstrations with customers.
