Job summary

Anduril Industries in London is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead capability development for Thunder, an autonomous attack rotorcraft. You will apply pragmatic systems engineering to ensure end-user needs are met in demanding environments and work with a lean, high-ownership culture to move designs forward in months rather than years.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in safety-critical defence/aerospace systems.
• Experience with payload integration and vehicle management or autonomy.
• Proven ability to solicit requirements from end-users and collaborate with design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead capability development for Thunder Mission System and Payloads in London.
• Apply pragmatic systems engineering to meet end-user needs in challenging ops.
• Participate in SDRs, PDR/CDR/TRR, and safety reviews as the Systems Engineering lead.
• Maintain Functional Decomposition, SBS, PBS, and architecture diagrams.
• Create System Description Documents and Interface Control Documents.
• Promote TEMP usage to mature mission systems and payloads.
• Define HIL/HITL integration environments and surrogate testing input.
• Create issue boards, triage tickets, and track artefact closure.
• Coordinate configuration/change management and safety/aeronautical standards.
• Support build, ground and flight tests with PCA and verification tasks.

Education

BEng/BSc/MEng in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical/CS/Robotics/Mechatronics

8+ years Systems Engineering experience

Systems Engineering proficiency

Experience with safety-critical hardware/software

Excellent written and verbal communication
