Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Minnesota to lead and support projects from concept through completion, driving them forward with minimal oversight.

This role interfaces with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information. You will mentor engineers and work under the Director of Operations to deliver high-quality automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant mechanical engineering leadership experience in capital equipment and custom automation.
• Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Engineering from a recognized faculty.
• Proven ability to lead projects from concept to FAT/SAT with strong design and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Steer the mechanical direction of projects with cross-functional input.
• Liaise with customers to understand commercial and technical needs.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear material for internal teams and customers.
• Ensure designs meet functional requirements and escalate cost/schedule impacts as needed.
• Oversee design resources and review deliverables for quality across the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and coach engineers to build technical capability within the team.
