Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead projects from concept to completion, interfacing with clients and internal teams. The role emphasizes hands-on design, mentoring peers, and ensuring quality deliverables throughout the lifecycle.

You will work with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and PDM to develop solutions for capital equipment and automated systems, with travel within US and Canada as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant mechanical engineering leadership experience in capital equipment and automation projects.
• Post-secondary Engineering degree or diploma from a recognized program.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in design, risk assessment, and qualification.
• Excellent communication with internal teams, customers, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical direction of projects from concept to FAT/SAT with minimal oversight.
• Interface with cross-functional teams, clients and stakeholders to translate complex concepts.
• Produce 2D assembly drawings and pneumatic schematics; manage mechanical BOM with SCM.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement within the team.
