Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team designing high-performance automation systems for industrial clients. You will oversee engineering operations, driving design excellence, project execution, and adherence to standards under the VP of Mechanical Engineering.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering and 10+ years of leadership, with strong SolidWorks CAD and FEA experience, plus exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 10+ years leading an engineering team.
• Proficient in SolidWorks CAD with FEA simulation.
• Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel within US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of Mechanical Engineering resources with coaching and performance reviews.
• Ensure on-time delivery of project scope and budgets.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure process adherence.
• Assess feasibility of plans for resourcing, milestones, and budgets.
• Communicate project status and risks to clients and teams.
• Develop and ensure compliance with standardization and processes.
• Lead talent development and front-line management.
