Job summary

Htprof is seeking a Mechanical Engineer / Applications Specialist for an on-site role in the Washington County, WI area. This direct-hire position blends 75% technical sales consulting with 25% mechanical design, offering a solid base salary up to $85,000 plus performance incentives and full benefits.

You will manage 20–25 daily client consultations, configure custom thermal/fluid systems, generate rapid quotes, and coordinate with sales and manufacturing to meet lead times.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience with 2+ years in technical sales/applications.
• Willingness to commute ~45 minutes daily to Washington County, WI.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technical Client Consultations: manage 20–25 daily client interactions via phone/email/virtual meetings.
• Specify Custom Thermal/Fluid Systems to fit client needs.
• Generate rapid technical quotes, system proposals, and ROI models using automated tools.
• Perform blueprint and value engineering to deliver design modifications for internal teams.
• Bridge sales and plant floor by coordinating with manufacturing to meet lead times.
• Present detailed technical specs and compliance data to client executives for approvals.
