Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies in Denton, TX seeks a senior mechanical design engineer to create interior aircraft components and moving mechanisms. You will select materials, ensure FAA compliance, and optimize designs for cost and manufacturability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
8+ years of relevant aviation interior experience preferred.
Experience with aerospace design standards and FAA requirements.

Responsibilities

Designs complex monuments and payload items (cabinets, bulkheads, tables, etc.).
Designs complex mechanisms for moving features.
Analyzes subsystem and project specifications.
Selects materials based on structural needs and specifications.
Optimizes designs to reduce costs and parts Count.
Ensures designs meet customer criteria and FAA requirements.
Adheres to budgets and schedules.
Provides design guidance to engineering personnel.
Maintains knowledge of modern mechanical design practices and tools.
