Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at our Lynnwood, WA site.

This role is onsite and requires 8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience, with a strong background in mechanics of materials, vibration, heat transfer, and electronics packaging. You will lead design efforts within an IPT, mentor junior engineers, and ensure performance, cost targets, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• BA or BS in an engineering discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanics of materials, shock, vibration, heat transfer, and dimensional tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of electronics packaging.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and familiarity with numerical analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IPTs to meet product performance and cost targets.
• Incorporate quality and manufacturability into designs per guidelines and regulations.
• Plan, prioritize, and manage work to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-disciplinary activities.
