Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer IV to independently tackle complex aerospace challenges, researching, designing and developing products within an Integrated Product Team (IPT).

You will ensure manufacturability, meet cost targets, plan activities, document analyses, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with operations, quality and other disciplines.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in an engineering discipline; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Proficiency with mechanical engineering principles including mechanics of materials, shock, vibration, heat transfer, and tolerance analysis.
• Knowledge of electronics packaging.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IPTs to design, develop, and test aerospace products.
• Ensure manufacturability and cost targets are met in designs.
• Plan, estimate, and manage work activities to meet schedules and budgets.
• Generate and review product development documentation and technical reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and support cross-disciplinary collaboration.
