Job summary

Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a senior Process Engineer IV to design, develop and implement advanced technologies and processes in accordance with product specs and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with engineering to ensure seamless handoff of new products and processes, analyze materials performance, and drive improvements to meet quality and cost targets while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in process engineering.
• Experience using computer databases.
• Expert knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures in assigned product or program.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Strong statistics, analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with multiple organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new technologies and processes for product development.
• Identify and evaluate materials and technologies for use in the factory, including obsolescence replacements.
• Test raw materials or finished products to ensure quality.
• Analyze failure data and lab results to determine causes and solutions.
• Use CBS, DOE, and FMEA to assess and qualify new processes and equipment.
• Provide risk assessments on existing equipment and future developments.
• Collaborate with machine shop to ensure timely availability of hardware.
• Create and modify procedures and material specifications.
• Review product plans to select materials based on strength, weight, heat resistance, conductivity and cost.
