Description

WORK LOCATION: This position offers a hybrid/flexible work schedule, combining on-site work at the Sargent & Lundy office in Peachtree Corners with remote work from home.

You will be involved in nuclear power plant systems design, including preparation or review of:

  1. Modification packages for operating nuclear power plants
  2. Functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems
  3. Engineering analyses and evaluations to support modifications and operation of plant systems
  4. Technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment
  5. Vendor bid evaluations for plant equipment
  6. Studies and options evaluations for modifications to operating nuclear power plants

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid-sized client-requested work scopes
  2. Visit client offices and/or plant sites to interface with clients and present engineering tasks and status updates
  3. Lead engineering project teams
Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • 5 or more years of experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Working knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of power plants
  • PE license is preferred
